John- I hear you to a very limited extent. I’m not a believer that the U.S. government is exactly this wonderful, benevolent force. Believe me, I don’t. I think the U.S. government has done a lot of wrong in the world.

But an event like the Boston Marathon bombing has to be treated in isolation. You had a few really bad apples that decided it was OK to kill a bunch of people — maybe many, many more if not for the grace of God. Your attempt at equivalency seems to be really off here.
